WARRANTY SUMMARY

A. Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred. Warranties must be registered below within 14 days from purchase.

B. Warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
If a fault occurs that is due to manufacturing error, we will gladly inspect, advise, and repair or remake at no cost. Warranty excludes the following: Wood, Resin, Tungsten, Stainless Steel, Zirconium and any other non precious metal items, sections and or other.

C. Warranty does not cover loss of stones unless the cause is proven to be a manufacturing defect (structure/craft).

D. Warranty does not cover wear and tear including thinning of metal, prong wear, dents, knocks, chips, or discoloration from use.

E. The warranty is a guarantee of quality craftsmanship, not resistance to impact or daily accidental damage.

F. Please read our FAQ for care, cleaning, expectations and setting maintenance advice.

G. Repairs carry no warranty. Only full re-manufacturing is covered by warranty.

H. Full and ¾ eternity rings are excluded from warranty due to natural structural vulnerability when stones extend too far down the band.

I. Warranty remains valid only if the ring is serviced annually.
Annual servicing includes checking settings, tightening prongs, cleaning, and general structural inspection.

Failure to service may result in gradual wear, which is not covered under warranty.

      FULL WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

      1. What is Covered
      Our manufacturing warranty covers:
      Casting purity issues
Metal structural failure caused by manufacturing
Faults in the workmanship of settings, joints, or welds
If any of these are confirmed by our qualified master craftsman, the piece will be repaired or remanufactured at no charge.

      2. What is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused after purchase, including:
Impact damage (knocks, bending, dropping, pressure, crushing)
Prong wear, loose stones caused by impact or daily use
Discoloration caused by cosmetics, chlorine, sweat, or chemicals
Thinning of metal over time due to wear
Precious metals are naturally soft. All rings require ongoing care and periodic tightening/servicing over their lifetime.

      3. Delicate Designs & Thickness Disclaimer
We recommend a minimum band thickness of 3.0mm at the narrowest point for long-term durability.
However, many engagement rings and fine designs are intentionally slim, dainty and minimal for aesthetic reasons.
When selecting such designs, the client acknowledges that:
Thinner designs are more vulnerable to bending, cracking, and wear from everyday use.
Breakage or damage caused by delicate nature of design is not considered a manufacturing defect unless their is a metallurgical reason for the defect, our warranty does not cover loss due to damage. Metallurgical tests will be conducted to ensure no porosity, hairline fractures, air bubbles, stress points, alloy contamination, oxidation etc.
This is standard across the jewelry industry.

      4. Stone Security & Servicing
All rings with stones require periodic tightening.
We recommend servicing every 6–12 months, especially for daily-wear rings.
Failure to service does not indicate a manufacturing defect.

We will always do our best to assist you — even outside warranty.
Because our name is on every ring, and your experience matters to us.

Structural Design Parameters for Lifetime Warranty

Jewellery is a fine art, and at OgilvieGems we specialise in Fine Jewellery designed to be worn, admired, and cherished. A key element is fine jewellery not bulk wear to be bumped, knocked, or hooked etc. Although crafted with structural integrity in every design it is a delicate accessory that requires care and regular servicing to preserve its strength and beauty. While we pride ourselves on crafting some of the highest-quality pieces in the industry, even the finest metals and gemstones are not indestructible and will show natural wear over time.
