Physical consultations are available to existing OgilvieGems clients by prior arrangement only. Appointments are intentionally limited to minimise disruption to our workshop production, allowing our craftsmen to remain focused on creating exceptional pieces. Our work speaks for itself, and it remains our most valuable asset.
Workshop Access & Collection Protocol
Following a serious prior security incident involving an individual posing as a potential client, all workshop access and collections now operate through controlled verification procedures designed to protect both clients and staff.
To maintain a secure and controlled environment, all workshop consultations, collections and services are subject to prior arrangement and verification. Please WhatsApp rather than call regarding the required arrival confirmations, as our team moves between the workshop and production areas and may not always hear the phone.
Pre-arranged appointment
Workshop access is available only for a confirmed, pre-scheduled consultation, collection or service appointment.
Vehicle verification
Before arrival, a clear photograph of both the front and back of the vehicle must be sent to us via WhatsApp together with the confirmed licence plate / registration number.
Occupant confirmation
The number of occupants arriving in the vehicle must be declared before the workshop visit.
Identification on arrival
A valid driver's licence or government-issued ID must be presented at the gate. We do not request an uploaded copy of your ID.
Dual-gate access
The vehicle enters through the first security gate. That gate closes before access through the second gate is authorised.
Controlled screening
Standard security verification is completed before entry is granted to the workshop premises.
This considered approach allows us to protect our team, manage production workflow with precision, and ensure that every client interaction — virtual or in person — receives the time, care and attention it deserves.

Why We Limit Them
To maintain the level of attention and craftsmanship for which OgilvieGems is known, consultation availability remains intentionally limited each month.
Most projects begin virtually.
Most commissions begin virtually and many are completed entirely remotely from start to finish.
In many cases, virtual communication actually creates a smoother and more flexible experience. Clients are able to ask questions gradually, revisit ideas comfortably, reflect on designs properly, refine details over time and communicate throughout the process more naturally.
Because every ring is digitally developed and approved through CAD renders before production begins, the majority of design clarity happens during the creation process itself.
In-Person Consultations
Following an initial virtual discussion, selected in-person consultations may be arranged where appropriate.
Appointments are conducted either from our private residence office in Kempton Park on dedicated consultation days, or at our Centurion workshop by prior arrangement where applicable.
All consultations remain strictly scheduled and private. We do not operate as a traditional walk-in jewellery store, allowing every consultation to remain calm, intentional and focused.
Workshop Access & Security
Our workshop operates as an active manufacturing environment focused on production, stone setting, finishing and quality control.
To maintain workflow precision, workshop access is restricted to:

Clients are absolutely welcome to collect completed commissions directly from our workshop by prior arrangement.
For many clients, the final collection becomes part of the experience itself — especially for engagement rings, anniversary pieces and milestone commissions.
All collections operate through scheduled collection procedures to ensure a smooth, secure and personal handover experience.
